Shoplifting Suspect Charged

A female from the Trowbridge area was arrested and charged with theft, following a shoplifting incident in Warminster’s Market Place on Thursday afternoon. Staff at M&CO alerted Warminster Town CCTV operators to the offence taking place. The CCTV operators maintained observations on the suspect, guiding local police officers to intercept. The suspect was arrested shortly after the offence was reported. Sergeant Kevin Harmsworth of Wiltshire Police said: “Local businesses, CCTV operators and local policing continue to work in partnership, responding promptly to incidents and bringing offenders to justice.”
